Welcome To Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church
Located in Pensacola, Florida. If you come as a visitor, we're sure you'll leave as family!About Our Lady Queen of Martyrs
The Vietnamese Catholic Community in Pensacola was granted the school property of Saint Thomas More church by the Bishop of Pensacola-Tallahassee to convert to a catholic church and named Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church back in 1995. Severity of weather over many years has caused major leakages to the roof. Recently, consultation and examination by several contractors have concluded that installing the whole new roof is highly recommended but cost prohibitive. Additionally, interior equipment such as the alarm system, the sound system, lighting and others areas of the church structure are in the state of antiquities and will need to be upgraded to the current building codes and standards. Our assessment of the overall condition of the existing church guided us toward building a new church which is more feasible and cost-effective when comparing with repairing and renovating the existing church.
Therefore, we are initiating a Capital Funding Campaign Initiative for construction of a new church with approximately 6000 square feet at the existing land of our current location that will provide adequately-sized, safe, and meet the needs of the local Vietnamese American Catholic populations; but also to maintain culture awareness and tradition within the Vietnamese American Catholic community in Pensacola and the surrounding areas.
The new church will be a dynamic place of practice of faith and promote the experience of church community for Vietnamese American Catholic into the foreseeable future. Our goal is to raise 1,500,000.00 million dollars that will be used for building a new church exclusively. In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses like you for support. Without the assistance of community-minded corporation and individuals just like you, it will be impossible to be able to meet the need to serve the Vietnamese Catholic in our community. Please accept our most sincere thanks for your support and God bless
